
A simple way to infuse some exotic flavour to your grill time. Chinese char siu sauce is a savoury treat that is versatile and guaranteed to please even the most hardcore BBQ lovers.

1 tbsp Pure honey

1 tbsp Soy sauce

1 tbsp Hoi Sin sauce

1 tbsp Rice wine

1 tbsp Sesame oil

2 tbsp Brown sugar

½ tsp Garlic powder

½ tbsp White pepper powder

100ml Water
- Mix all ingredients except water in a bowl. Bring it to a well blended and consistent state.
- Pour liquid into a heated pan for cooking. Stir regularly and add the water after a couple of minutes. As it caramelises, it will become darker and thicker.
- Remove pan from heat when the sauce becomes fairly thick compared to the beginning. After cooling down it can make an superb marinade.
