My Indian spiced burgers make for a great alternative when you fancy something with a little kick and lots of Indian spice! The curry mayo is a great cheat to have and adds a nice backdrop to the beefburger. Check out the video at the bottom of the page to get a step by step guide.
- 8 St Louis style pork ribs (skin removed)
Burgers:
- 250g beef mince
- 1 garlic, grated
- 1 pinch ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground fenugreek
- Handful of coriander, chopped
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped
- ¼ red onion, finely chopped
Curry Mayonnaise:
-
1 cup mayonnaise
-
1 tbsp curry powder
-
½ lime, juiced
Garnish:
- 2 brioche buns
- 1 baby gem lettuce
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- Fire up the Au Natural compressed briquettes and let them burn till ashen and the flames have died down, then place the grill on top.
- Mix all the beefburger ingredients together and form two large patties.
- Lay the burgers onto the hot grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, then remove and rest for 5 minutes. While resting you can lightly toast the brioche buns for a minute on the grill.
- To make the curry mayo, simply add all the ingredients together, taste for flavour balance and spoon over the bottom bun.
- Add a heap of shredded lettuce, a few slices of tomato and lay the burger on top.
- Drizzle with some sriracha sauce or ketchup and eat!
